giefu: (The British are coming!)
I have not been very productive at all, have I? (This summer has, let me be perfectly candid, been an exercise in frustration from beginning to end.) Well, anyway here is a meme that I remembered I promised to do a while back.

1) Make a list of fifteen characters first, and keep it to yourself for the moment. (That way you're not leading the questions asked to fit the characters.)

2) Ask your flist to post questions in the comments.

For example:

'One, Nine and Fifteen move in together. Is this a really bad idea?'
'Under what circumstances might Five and Seven fall in love?'
'Which character on the list would you most want on your side in a zombie invasion?'

'What Pokémon would Eight have?'
'Write a drabble in which Three and Eleven FIGHT CRIME.' (...possibly not technically a question.)

3) After your flist has asked enough questions, round them up and answer them using the fifteen characters you selected beforehand, then post them.

DOOO EEET. I haven't written anything in ages and I need to get back on the metaphorical fic-horse.

Meanwhile, please enjoy this picture of Rome what I drew.

I call it 'want your bad Rome-ance'

Now I have ready access to a scanner (and some essays to procrastinate on) I can bother you with my doodlings! So [ profile] futuresoon 's Hanna Is Not A Boy's Name genderbends were so cool that I decided to try some of my own:

There's usually more male-to-female than female-to-male genderbends. I wonder why that is? )

Well, I haven't been blogging lately, largely because nothing blog-worthy has been happening to me and I haven't had time to work on anything fannish for a while (hoo boy, Final Leg Syndrome is kicking in hard this term) though I have had ideas. Ideas which will, trust me, be expanded upon when I have the time.

Meanwhile I've been enjoying Glee (even though I know I shouldn't, what is WRONG WITH ME), sticking with Being Human, and finishing Lucky Star. It seems that wacky slice-of-life anime is my thing. Who knew?

Oh yes, and I can't play Mass Effect 2 yet and it is KILLING ME. Mass Effect remains my favourite game of all time (OF ALL TIME) and the fact that a sequel exists and yet is beyond my grasp is just maddening. Never mind that the internet is abuzz with how totally awesome it is. Grah.

And also I drew the Avatarlia Water Tribe Nations to counteract the awful Superbowl trailer )

day 07 | whatever tickles your fancy

I hope dumb fanart counts )

Okay, so as part of today's round of procrastination I tried colouring a pre-scannercrash picture I found on my hard drive, and I'm pretty pleased with the result so I thought I'd share it here!

Some recently perpetrated fanart, including a Chitty Chitty Bang Bang crossover, is at the Hetalia comm here.

But because I am SO BORED, I did that threatened cricket picture:

giefu: (BROW BEAM)
Today I went to the V&A again and while I was there I bought a book on the international history of costume. Yes, this was mainly for historical Hetalia costumey lulz.
And here are the results so far )
giefu: (Iron Man)
Okay so my internet got back sooner that expected! Not only that, but my dad fixed my wireless card so now I can surf to my heart's content. Now I promise really and truly not to vanish unexpectedly again.

Anyway, I have also put up some fanart on the Hetalia comm over here.

giefu: (Doctor Who)
Exactly what it says on the tin, folks. Be warned that in the absence of photoshop I ruined some of these in coloured pencil.
you have been warned )
giefu: (My food is the tastiest)
But here is some Hetalia fanart, over at the lj comm here.

Just taking a break from exam revision (I am never, ever doing Old English ever again. That is a fact.) to show you all one doodle that popped out of one of the wackier parts of my brain.

yes, it's Hetalia )

Hello all! Here's some more stuff from the vaults, this time everything still decent that I found on my hard drive. There's quite a bit of it, so buckle in.

Hueg liek xbox )
giefu: (it's almost freudian)
Okay, so I said I was going to be more active on here and then promptly vanished for two/three weeks. Smart move, self.

So here's all the art from my sketchbook that's post-worthy so far.

Warning, huge )

So, this is my attempt at what long-deceased Fire Lady Ilah (also known as Ozai's mum) might have looked like. The hardest part was BS-ing fire nation women's wear circa fifty years ago:

I kinda like it, even though she looks like a moose in a kimono.
