I've entered the Kenyon review short story contest.
Not expecting to win at all, but this is the first time I've entered anything with my writing and now I am hella nervous. I know my writing's just about good enough for fandom and it's okay for creative writing, but is it good enough for contests? (I also had to majorly cut the story down to the required length- I hope that it's made it more tense but I had to remove the poem that was at the centre of it and argh argh argh) I guess I won't know until I try, eh?
Any good vibes would be appreciated. I'll keep you all posted for late spring when the winners are announced!
