It's been so long since I've blogged properly about anything, so here's a reaction post for parts 1 & 2 of the Sarah Jane Adventures with The Doctor and Jo Grant in!
Non spoilery: Russel T Davies was totally watching The Big Bang when he came up for the finale of this episode.
In conclusion, IS IT CHRISTMAS YET.

- Sarah Jane and Jo are awesome and I kind of want there to be a Former Companions Club now, because watching them squee about the Doctor together was brilliant.
- The Shan-Sheeth are hilarious space goth muppets and I would not have found them scary even if I WAS in the target age group. Also, if they were sick of being funeral directors, couldn't they just, you know, stop doing it?
- I didn't realise how much I'd missed Eleven until he showed up and I got this massive grin on my face. Oh Eleven, I take back every mean thing I ever said about you, I miss you.
- Old footage! So much old footage! And apparently I am a big sucker for this kind of thing now because I got a bit of a teary feeling when we saw Four and Three. I even think I saw some of The Sea Devils, so it may have just been the memory of that coming back to haunt me. (Or lingering influence from the Doctor Who Proms. This Is Gallifrey makes me wibble every time)
- I kind of love how like 80% of the UNIT officers we've seen in the new series have been female.
- After spending the first episode yelling WHERE ARE AMY AND RORY the second episode explained it! I did not expect that! It was a pleasant suprise.
- According to the Doctor he can regenerate 507 times? OH RUSTY YOU JOKER seriously no though what is up with that.
- Also apparently before he regenerated Ten went back and checked on EVERYONE. Because every companion is his favourite. :3
- 'Come along Smith!' MY HEART.
- And then Sarah Jane talked about some of the old companions (Ian and Barbara! Teagan!) and what they're doing now and I kind of died of love, because apparently some things in Who fandom are just in the air even if you've only really watched New!Who.
In conclusion, IS IT CHRISTMAS YET.
