My Very Deep Thoughts on the Doctor Who Christmas Special, after the cut!

I was impressed with now not-silly the fish swimming around in the fog were. I thought that they were handled really well and made the planet feel very much like an alien world.
The sets and costumes were GORGEOUS! Really steampunky without going over the top.

On a related note, Amy and Rory's costumes being for honeymoon sexytimes was pretty much the most awkward and hilarious thing ever.
Stephen Moffat loves his timey wimey plots, doesn't he? I really hope we're going to see more of this, it's super interesting.

I ADORED the story. Obviously I must be a big sap because I had to work very hard not to cry in front of my whole family at the end when Catherine Jenkins was singing.
'Halfway out of the dark' is one of the best ways to describe Christmas and Doctor Who that I've ever heard.

Also it was a white Christmas for the first time in my life ever, that was awesome
